Is Lepsta trying to replace managers?
TL;DR — No. By automating status updates, simplifying scheduling, improving visibility and enforcing consistent workflows, Lepsta clears away the busywork. The result? Managers can focus on leadership, strategy and unlocking their team’s potential.
This came right out of our FAQs sheet and it is not an unreasonable implication to ponder around the adoption of AI.
While we can't speak for other tools, our commitment is to unlock human potential by using technology to help people focus on high-value work. Nowhere in the manager's job description does it mention that they have to chase status updates, or spend all day in meetings.
Fundamentally, the job of a manager is to utilise the organisation's resources to achieve results. Now, this comes with a TON of busywork that has become a norm simply because there was just no way around it.
This is where Lepsta comes in to protect the core managerial responsibilities by reducing the toil in their day-to-day activities. This includes:
- Automating status updates so that managers stay on top of things without resorting to micromanagement.
- Making it easier to answer productivity-related questions without overheard, in real time, on an ad-hoc basis.
- Augmenting scheduling to reduce decision fatigue associated with ensuring that everyone is working on the correct priorities.
- Helping enforce standard operating procedures to make sure that every task is executed correctly and without lengthy feedback loops.
I could go on, but the short answer that Lepsta is clearing the obstacles to make managers more productive and to help them achieve greater efficiency. It is our belief that a happier manager makes happier employees, and the bottom line takes care of itself. This is my long-winded way of saying: "No, Lepsta isn't trying to replace managers."
